Foothills Lodge proprietor Theodore "Ted" Perrin was born and raised in the Malone area.  Upon graduating from Clarkson University (BS-EE) and SUNY Potsdam (BA-Math) in 1996 Ted took his first job as an engineer in Birmingham, AL then soon moved to Atlanta, GA.  While in Atlanta (97-00) Ted began to pivot to Real Estate.  This pivot took Ted to Manhattan by 2001 where he lived and worked through the terrible events of 9/11.  By 2003 Ted migrated to South Beach Miami and opened a full scale real estate brokerage, Perrin Properties.  By 2008 Ted's company was managing over 1500 units and working with investment partners from all over the world.   In 2021, when Ted's daughters were 2 and 4, he decided to come home, built a house 10 miles outside of Malone, to raise his girls in the North Country.  The Foothills Lodge is Ted's newest real estate adventure.
